His enhanced academic preparation.

Bachelor's degree in Medicine: 5 years full-time undergraduate study at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) with a major of Acupuncture- Moxibustion from 1992 to 1997. BUCM is China’s premier national and an internationally-recognized medical university dedicated to advancing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Master's degree in Medicine: 3 years full-time postgraduate study with a major in Integrated Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine from 2000 to 2003 at the People’s Liberation Army Postgraduate Medical School, which is one of  the top medical schools in China.

His extensive practical experience.

9 years of working in the General Hospital of the People’s Liberation Army (PLAGH)  which is one of the top three hospitals in China; Years of working in Switzerland and US. He has served the Greater Charlottesville area since 2008.

In China, he was entitled as a Medical Doctor. So far, he has performed over 60,000 treatments by the year of 2016.

His extensive experience in integrating Acupuncture with Western Medicine.

In China, virtually all Traditional Chinese Medical graduates have curricula related to biomedicine, have a clinical clerkship in the hospitals before graduations, begin their practice in hospitals, and enjoy experienced practitioners as their supervisors at the beginning of their careers.

After his graduation, he spent nearly a year and half in clinical rotations in the departments of Neurology, Pneumology, Cardiology, as well as other specialized departments. Totally he has 9 years working experience in a renowned comprehensive hospital.  Later he worked in Switzerland and the US. He has many years of experience working alongside Western medical doctors and knowing how to integrate Acupuncture with Western Medicine.

Since 2018, he has been learning from Dr. Andy Rosenfarb, a world-renowned expert in the field of Chinese Medical Ophthalmology and from Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, an internationally renowned scholar and researcher with 3 Doctorate Degrees in Chinese Medicine and Philosophy, educator and clinician with 40 more years of clinical and teaching experiences, and author of more than 40 books published in many countries.

His comprehensive knowledge, skills, and the ability to do Acupuncture research.

He was part of a team of physicians, scholars, and researchers working on several important projects. 5 articles were published.

Along with his clinical work, he has been learning Tai Chi from Hiromi Johnson, a disciple of Grand Master Wang Fu-Lai, the lineage holder of Cheng-Ming School in Taiwan since 2018.
